Breakfast Run In Bolivia?
One of the things we thought would be interesting to do was to arrange a breakfast run in Bolivia. Bike rental is cheap; you can rent a 650cc Honda for less than $100US per day. The distance between Coroico and La Paz is only 70km, but the road to Coroico starts on a summit near La Paz, 4633 meters above sea level, and heads down to 1700 meters above sea level, A 3300 meters descent. Its not only that the road is extremely steep, but it is also narrow, muddy, and has steep drops of over 1000 meters instead of margins. A recipe for disaster! And disasters indeed occurred - and that is why the road got its name - the Death Road. If you Google road of death you'll find some amazing pictures. Accommodation costs next to nothing and is better arranged when you arrive, as pre booking is much more expensive. I will, however, have something ready. The bikes are Honda XLR650R's and include unlimited mileage, taxes and third party liability insurance. The price does not include petrol and you'll need to leave a damage deposit of $4000 on your credit card. Bring full motorcycle protective clothing especially armour. The bike rental link is;

The cheapest flights I can find run from Heathrow, please see the following link;
www.opodo.co.uk. You will need to travel on Thurs 25th of October from Heathrow and return on Friday the 2nd of November. If you are coming along please send me a reply to this address and I'll make the nessesary arrangements, but do give me a few days to get back to you as I don't always have access to the internet.
Remember folks, the quicker you ride, the faster you'll get there!
